Solotech Sales & Integration is currently recruiting an Account Executive for our Ottawa office. You will be the front line representative of a strong team that serves the various requirements of our A/V project sales clients. Your responsibilities will consist of meeting clients and developing a presence for Solotech in this exciting environment. You will be in contact with the client and assist them in defining their audio visual requirements and offering them complete solutions.

You will also meet with consultants, engineers, AV technicians, contractors and many other client categories to develop new A/V business opportunities for Solotech in the Ottawa area. You will also be the liaison for the customer to the other services and departments of Solotech to ensure proper completion of the project and to promote additional post-project services.
 
The candidate must have previous experience in a related technical field and experience (Sales and /or Technical) in one of the following areas: audio system, video system, stage lighting, audio visual control systems. An individual who is bilingual (fluent in English with a working knowledge of French) and is well motivated and organized will enjoy the challenges and rewards that this position offers.

Solotech Sales & Integration is currently recruiting an Senior Installation Technician for our Ottawa / Gatineau office serving the National Capital Region as well as our Kingston office.

The Senior Installation Technician will report to the Manager of Installations – NCR. A well motivated and organized individual will enjoy the challenges and rewards that this position offers.


Main responsabilities:


- The proper installation, configuration and start-up of the equipment sold by Solotech;
- Act as team leader for Solotech’s technicians and sub-contractors on installations;
- Pass on and share his knowledge with Solotech’s other technicians
- Maintain up-to-date and trained on audio visual products and technologies;
- Work in close collaboration with the Project Manager;
- Represent Solotech with regards to clients and suppliers;
- Assist the other members of the Installation Department team with their tasks related to the technical aspects of
  the project.


Tasks:


- The proper installation, configuration and start-up of the equipment sold by Solotech;
- Coordinate with other trades on the job site;
- Distribute tasks to other technicians and / or sub-contractors and ensure the quality of their work;
- Communicate the job site’s needs in equipment, materials and labour to the Project Manager in order to maintain
  proper progress;
- Maintain the tools and truck that are assigned to you in good condition;
- Maintain the inventory of hardware and wiring in the truck up-to-date and in sufficient quantity to meet the needs of
  the job site;
- Ensure that the work is carried out according to all health and safety requirements;
- Read and follow all of the technical drawings (block diagrams, single line drawings, architectural and structural
  plans, rigging details etc.);
- Provide training to other installers;
- Participate in the preparation of the manuals to be remitted to clients;
- Participate in training sessions on new technologies and products;
- Participate in team meetings;
- All other associated tasks required by the department and the company.


General criteria:


- Excellent written and spoken English. Spoken and written French an asset;
- Must be able to collaborate with Francophone staff in Gatineau;
- 3 to 5 years experience in the AV installation and integration field;
- Certified for AV programming and / or electronics;
- Own a vehicle to be able to get to work and a valid driver’s licence. Work related mileage will be compensated;
- Flexible and able to adapt to situations and individuals;
- Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously with extremely tight schedules;
- Autonomous, rigorous and disciplined;
- Able to plan and manage;
- Able to analyze and solve problems;
- Able to properly manage priorities;
- Comfortable with and efficient in team work;
- Available occasionally on evenings and available to work flexible hours i.e. start at 6am or finish at midnight on
  occasions.


Specific criteria:


- Must know how to work with a computer under Windows environment;
- Good knowledge of the following software is an asset: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, MS Project and
  AutoCAD;
- Knowledge of sound, lighting, video and/or videoconference equipment;

Solotech Sales & Integration is currently recruiting an Project Manager for permanent AV Installations for our Ottawa / Gatineau offices serving the National Capital Region and our Kingston office.

The Project Manager is responsible for the proper planning, execution and closing of the project and for managing the human resources required to do so. The Project Manager is responsible for the quality of the goods and services delivered by his team with regards to the technical scope, the financial objectives and the timeline as well as all of the required correspondence and documentation.

The Project Manager will report to the Manager of Installations – NCR. A well motivated and organized individual will enjoy the challenges and rewards that this position offers.



Main responsabilities:


- Plan and coordinate the equipment and installation material needs, the labour needs, transportation and delivery
  and all other requirements for the proper execution of the project;
- Ensure that the installation meets the clients expectations and is compatible with the client’s  technical and
  physical environment;
- Manage the project’s expenses so as to ensure profitability;
- Coordinate change orders with the client and the project’s sales representative;
- Ensure that all of the projects deliverables are completed in the appropriate delays;
- Proceed with final inspection and sign off with the client;
- Control the quality of the workmanship under Solotech’s responsibility so as to ensure a level of work meeting the
  industry’s best practices and Solotech’s rigorous standards;
- Validate the technical proposals made by the sales representatives;
- Perform a site visit prior to sending the installation team to confirm to appropriateness of the site conditions and the
  feasibility of the installation;
- Provide technical support and respond to requests for information on the part of sales representatives to help
  prepare specifications and respond to RFI’s;
- Collaborate with all of the various project team members in order to offer the best possible service to our customers.


General criteria:


- Excellent written and spoken English. Spoken and written French an asset. Must be able to collaborate with

- 3 to 5 years experience in a related technical field;

The position will consist of being a technological and product specialist support for our sales team of front line representatives that serve the various requirements of our AV project sales clients. Main responsabilities:


- Being current with all aspects of audiovisual technologies so as to be able to prepare a system design based on
  customer requirements;
- Being familiar with AV technologies so as to perform simple programming and trouble shooting on audio and video
  equipment. Familiarity with pro lighting equipment an asset;
- Meeting clients with the sales representative to develop a relationship with the clients and assist them in defining
  their audio-visual requirements, as well as offering them complete solutions. The candidate will also be called upon
  to meet clients directly on smaller projects;
- Become the liaison to the other services and departments of Solotech such as Project Management and
  Installation, Service and Customer Service to ensure proper completion of the project;
- Prepare equipment and hardware for the installation teams and act as Project Coordinator on smaller installations.



Essential pre-requisites:


- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and CRM ;
- Knowledge of sound, lighting and/or video equipment;
- 3 to 5 years experience in a related technical field;
- Certified for AV programming and / or electronics;
- Able to travel within the territory of the Kingston office with their own car.
