The inauguration of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra hall took place on September 7th 2011. The concert hall, much anticipated by the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, can accomodate up to 2100 audience members, 120 musicians and 200 singers.
Solotech is honored to have been a part of the consortium led by SNC-Lavalin, mandated by the government of Quebec to build this new Montreal Symphony Orchestra hall.
World-Class Concert Hall
Solotech’s challenge was to integrate high performance lighting and sound equipment into the hall during the construction phase. The integration had to accommodate the acoustical, technical and architectural constraints of a complex worksite while delivering a high caliber installation on time for the premier concert on September 7, 2011. Our Goal was to respect all technical specification given by ARTEC (acoustic consultant) and SNC-LAVALIN..
- Supply, install and integrate the sound, lighting and video capture equipment
- Custom fabrication (cables, lighting distribution)
- Preparation of the ‘as built’ documentation including elevations, cable lists and wiring diagrams
- Training of the personnel
- After installation preventative maintenance
