Built in 1895, the « Maison du Gouverneur » owes its name to Charles-Amédée Vallée, the Montreal prison’s last governor. The governor’s residence was occupied by the Vallée family until 1912. The construction of Bordeaux prison put an end to jailing on this historic site better known as “Au Pied-du-Courant”.
The SAQ’s executive boardroom, located in the historical Pied-du-Courant building, is equipped with a Polycom video conferencing system, which is controlled by a Crestron touch screen.
