Videotron flagship store in Montreal

Quebec telecom giant Videotron’s new flagship store in Montreal offers jaw-dropping multimedia experience for customers, using technologies integrated and managed by Solotech and interactive IT firm ITESmedia

Jaw-dropping multimedia experience

A giant smartphone in the entry, a staircase that doubles as a multimedia display, and RFID-triggered interactive countertops are among the striking immersive technology features deliveredin a new retail flagship store now open in downtown Montreal.

The store’s features include:

- A giant smartphone just off the sidewalk that allows people to send text messages and take photographs and
  videos of themselves, which can in turn be sent to friends by email from the big phone;

- Countertop touch screens at six mobile phone bars that let customers choose their user profile (like student or
  globetrotter), and then browse feature phones, specifications and rate plans. Interactions are all activated by
  touchscreens and embedded RFID readers;

- A tall staircase to the second floor that has more than 150 LED tiles on the step risers, creating a steadily-
  changing, full-motion graphic show;

- A hi-definition TV experience in two sound-proof glass booths equipped with 85” screens.

ITESmedia provides the software and services driving, managing and monitoring the multimedia stairs, giant smartphone, interactive mobile phone bar and an interactive cabin promoting Videotron’s web-based broadcast capabilities.
