Nashville Predators’ home gets a cutting-edge solution

Since 1998, the National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators have played all their home games at the Bridgestone Arena, a multi-purpose sports venue located in downtown Nashville, which prides itself on its galvanizing fan experience. In fact, the Bridgestone Arena has received several accolades over the years and was notably nominated, for the 15th time, Arena of the Year in December 2018 by Pollstar magazine.

Solotech was selected to provide its lighting and video expertise in support of the Predators 20th anniversary. Entrusted to make the arena shine for the celebration, Solotech knew the ideal solution, its own Solo-Tube LED stanchions. Integrated into the ice rink’s dasher boards the Solo-Tubes brought the fans to their feet and added to the energy of the arena. Installed in less than 3 days, with the help of JSS, a Solotech company, namely Jason Spence and Paul Uber, and the Bridgestone Arena’s team (Ben Bosse and David A. Graham). Solotech’s solution was an innovative win.

It was a particularly effective and efficient collaboration, as detailed by Mike Poirier, Business Development Director at Solotech in this video:

The Solo-Tube: An Unrivalled Multi-Application Technologic Innovation

A specialist in audio, video, lighting, rigging and soft goods solutions and services, Solotech is always seeking to develop new cutting-edge technologies to bring the client’s experience to a whole new level. Solotech’s long-established video and lighting expertise enabled the development of Solo-Tube, a system that can display up to 16.7 million colors to create a dynamic ambiance in various environments.

More precisely, the Solo-Tube LED stanchions deliver a state-of-the-art video/lighting platform for a wide range of applications. Solo-Tube can be controlled by either DMX lighting controllers or by video media server systems. It can easily be integrated with ice projection-mapping systems, LED ribbons, display systems, wireless crowd-lighting and arena sound systems for a spectacular visual experience.

Summarizing the overall installation, Dave Brière, the Project Manager at Solotech, notes: “Working on this project was very rewarding, the results were absolutely great. We’re delighted that a product very dear to us at Solotech is now part of the great Bridgestone Arena. We’ve just heard that the 2019-20 season of the Nashville Predators will be known as the “Year of the Fan”, to honor the lifeblood of the team. So we couldn’t be happier to have contributed with the most spectacular technology they could get to enhance their fans’ experience.”
