Martin tremblay

BBA, MBA

President and Chief Executive Officer

Martin Tremblay has been President and Chief Executive Officer since June 2017. From 2008 to 2016, Martin was President of Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment in Los Angeles, CA, USA. During his tenure, the company became a highly successful worldwide videogame publisher with revenues in excess of $1.5B. Prior to this role, from 2006 to 2008, he was President of Vivendi Games Worldwide Studios in Los Angeles, CA, a world leader in videogames, during which time he led the company through its successful $18.1B merger with Activision to create the global interactive entertainment company now known as Activision Blizzard.

From 1998 to 2006, Mr. Tremblay was President of Ubisoft Montreal, where he led the Montreal studios, strategically growing the company from 300 to 1,500 employees and playing an important leadership role in ensuring its remarkable creative and commercial success.

Mr. Tremblay started his career in 1989 working at the family business in the construction industry, holding various senior management roles for almost ten years. He holds a Finance degree in Business Administration from Université Laval and an M.B.A. from Université de Sherbrooke. He is a Quartier de l’Innovation (Montreal) board member, a Université de Sherbrooke governor and a Young Presidents’ Organisation (YPO) member. In 2017, Université Laval awarded him the prestigious Hermes prize in recognition for his high-profile international career. He also served for several years as a board member of the Electronic Software Association (ESA) and the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, both located in California in the United States. Mr. Tremblay is also philanthropically involved in various organizations such as the Alzheimer Society, Centraide and many other charity organizations that support people in need.

Pierre Boivin

Chairman of the Board, Member of the RH & Governance Committee and Member of the Audit & Finances Committee

Pierre Boivin is the President and CEO of Claridge, a private investment firm that represents the interests of the Stephen Bronfman family. He leads a team of professionals in developing a diversified portfolio of private, public market and real estate investments.

He is a board member of Claridge and also sits on the Boards of the National Bank of Canada, Canadian Tire and The CH Group and is Chairman of the Board of Solotech.

In addition, Mr. Boivin is a Quartier de l’Innovation de Montréal board member, Co-Chair of the Quebec Artificial Intelligence Cluster Steering Committee and Chairman of the Board of Mila. Pierre Boivin is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, and he contributes to fostering entrepreneurship at the École d’entrepreneurship de Beauce and the Institute of Leadership in Management.

Pierre Boivin was awarded an honorary doctorate degree by the Université de Montréal and made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2009. He was named “most socially committed top executive” by Les Affaires in 2015 and was appointed to the Ordre national du Québec in 2017.

Katya Laviolette

Director and Chair of the HR & Governance Committee

Appointed by Capital Desjardins, Katya Laviolette has served on the board of directors of Solotech since September 2023, contributing over 25 years of leadership experience in talent management, mergers and acquisitions, organizational effectiveness and founder-led businesses. Currently serving as the Chief People Officer at 1Password, a human-centric security and privacy leader, Katya has held senior executive roles at prominent global organizations, including SSENSE, TC Transcontinental, CBC/Radio-Canada, and Rio Tinto.

In her distinguished career, Katya has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the E.S. Sunley Scholarship, and co-chaired the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference, showcasing her commitment to leadership excellence and diversity. Her expertise extends across talent, executive compensation, operations, hyper-growth scaling and culture change, making her a versatile asset in navigating complex governance structures.

Katya holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and a Master’s in Industrial Relations from Queen’s University. As a member of ORHRI and a certified coach with Integral Coaching Canada, she brings a unique blend of strategic vision, leadership acumen, and a proven track record of success to Solotech’s board.

Emma Griffin

BA

Director, Member of the HR & Governance Committee and Member of the Audit & Finances Committee

Emma Griffin has served on the board of directors of Solotech since January 2020. She is also a Non-Executive Director of St. James’s Place plc, and Chair of the Unit Trust Group, a Non- Executive Director and Chair of the investment committee of the iA Financial Group and a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the audit committee of Claridge.

In her executive career, Ms Griffin co-founded and built an independent stock broking firm, Oriel Securities, sold to Stifel Corporation, in 2014. She subsequently founded and built a PE-backed holding company to invest in the professional services sector.

Ms. Griffin holds a master’s degree in Classics (Latin and Greek) from Oxford University, United Kingdom, and successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC®). Since 2016, she has co-taught the “CEO Insights” course as part of the MBA program at McGill University, where she also acts as a mentor to her students.

Sylvain Vincent

Director and Chair of the Audit & Finances Committee

Sylvain Vincent has been a Director of Solotech and the Chair of the Audit Committee since November 2016. He is also Chair of the Board of the Directors of Termaco and a member of the following boards of directors: The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, HEC Montréal, Montréal Relève and the Evenko Foundation. In addition, he serves as a coach for executives as part of the training program at Groupe Hélios.

Throughout his career, Mr. Vincent has served as chairperson or treasurer for not-for-profit boards and professional associations. He held the position of Chair for the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal. He served over 35 years at EY, where he held the position of Associate Director for Quebec and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian market when he retired in June 2016. Mr. Vincent has worked with a wide range of clients in various industries and has put his expertise to use in several sectors, including restructuring, financing, infrastructures, and mergers and acquisitions.

Sylvain Vincent holds a bachelor’s degree in Administration from HEC Montréal. He is also a Fellow of the Québec Order of Chartered Accountants and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

André Petitclerc

Administrator and Member of the Audit & Finances Committee

André Petitclerc has served on Solotech’s  board of directors since October 2013, first as an observer and now as a permanent member since February 2021. He is also a member of the following boards of directors: Communauto, Hivestack, Notarius, CDRIN and Centre d’entreprises et d’innovation de Montréal (CEIM). As an accomplished communicator and highly sought-after speaker, he is well known to significant players in Québec’s Information and Communication Technologies industry and in the multimedia sector.

Through his 30 years of financial management experience, André Petitclerc has developed a specialization in growth capital, portfolio management and business development for tech companies. He currently holds the position of Information Technology Investment Advisor, at Investissement Québec. Over the years, he has also worked for other large renowned companies, such as Société générale de financement du Québec, Desjardins Venture Capital, BCE Emergis, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and IST, a major IT company in Québec. He has taken part in several investments in innovative and promising Québec companies, including Solotech and Stingray, among others.

Mr. Petitclerc holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting and finance from Laval University. He is also a member of the Québec Order of Chartered Professional Accountants.
