The Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is a Quebec City landmark. Inaugurated in 1893, this renowned hotel, located in Old Quebec and overlooking the St. Lawrence River, it today merges technology with elegance. As part of its renovation in 2016, the hotel’s public areas, restaurants, bars and meeting rooms were equipped with new lighting, sound and control systems.
Solotech had the privilege of working with the hotel, supplying, installing and calibrating all the audio and lighting elements. In total, 200 ceiling loudspeakers, 15 multichannel amplifiers and a new sound system were installed in the hotel and the ballroom to enhance the sound experience for visitors. Lighting was modernized with the installation of 11 dimmer racks. To make it easy to manage and handle all this equipment, 26 touch screen panels were placed on the hotel’s walls, allowing sound and lighting settings to be easily adjusted.
