FABRICATION TECHNICIAN

Job Summary :

Fabrications Technician is required to join a high performing team at our Solotech manufacturing department in Fareham, Southampton.

The fabrications technician will be an active member of a small production team specialising in the manufacture of distribute flight cases and transit cases for the transportation within the audio industry.

Full training and support will be given to the successfully candidate.

Responsibilities :

•Assisting with the assembly and manufacture of goods and equipment, such as flight cases and speaker cabinets, using a variety of wood/metal working skills and equipment.

•Responsible for safe working practices within the department, including the correct operation of tools, equipment and the use of guards and safety clothing.

•Monitoring of stock levels and informing management if they fall below operational levels.

•Maintain the filing system for drawings, cutting lists, jigs and assembly information. .

•Assist with the unloading and storage of incoming materials.

•Ensure end of shift shutdown procedures are carried out.

Your profile :

Keen interest in fabrication.
The ability to read and understand design drawings.
Willingness and ability to learn quickly.
Strong communication skills
