Montreal, June 1st, 2017 – The Chairman of the Board of Solotech, Mr. Normand Legault is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Martin Tremblay as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Solotech. This appointment is effective June 5, 2017.
Mr. Tremblay holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Laval University and a master’s degree in business administration from Sherbrooke University. With more than 25 years of experience, he led the strategic development of Ubisoft Montreal from 1999 to 2006, where he held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer, and then became President Worldwide Studios of Vivendi Games in Los Angeles. In 2008, he was appointed President of Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment (WBIE) before joining the Just for Laughs Group in Los Angeles, where he served as Executive Vice President Strategy and Development.
“Martin has a wide range of experiences, expertise and knowledge in the fields of entertainment and technology, enabling him to realize the strategic vision and growth of the company.” said Normand Legault, Chairman of the Board of Solotech. While leaving the company in very good hands with a strong team, Normand Legault has completed the mission that he was given two years ago of bringing together a high-performance multidisciplinary management team and strategically positioning the company, notably by developing new market shares and by major investments in state-of-the-art equipment. As such, Mr. Martin Chouinard becomes president of the Rental Division and Mr. Philip Giffard, President of the Sales and Integration Division. Mr. Normand Legault was President and Chief Executive Officer; he will now act as the Chairman of the Board.
