Montreal, February 25, 2019 – Solotech proudly accepted the StartUp award at the Centraide Solidaires Awards, held not long ago at Le Belvédère in the Old Port of Montreal. Given to a company or organization that has run an outstanding Centraide campaign that was recently started at their workplace, the StartUp award recognized Solotech’s employees’ efforts as part of its 2018 Centraide campaign. They raised $127 990.50, an incredible 350% increase over their 2017 campaign.
Committed to double the employees’ donations, Solotech was actively involved in the process, organizing several campaigns to solicit Solotech’s Montreal and Quebec City employees. Many clients, partners and collaborators have also generously contributed.
In 2018, commitment was a predominant theme at Solotech. Stephen Bronfman, Executive President of Claridge – Solotech’s main shareholder – joined the Centraide campaign office as Co-President. Pierre Boivin, President and CEO of Claridge and President of Solotech’s Executive Board, participated as President of the Finance Services Division.
“The results are unbelievable! I would like to warmly thank those who have participated in this campaign. We are honored to receive this prize and contribute to Centraide’s solidarity action, an organization which stands with our communities in the fight against social inequalities.”, said Martin Tremblay, President and CEO of Solotech.
A committed corporate citizen, Solotech looks forward to supporting the Centraide campaign again in 2019.
