Las Vegas, Nevada – June 27, 2023 – Solotech, a global leader in audiovisual and entertainment technology, is proud to announce its partnership with the VAI Resort team for the highly anticipated VAI Amphitheater project. As designers and equipment providers for the performance audio and lighting systems, Solotech is committed to delivering an unparalleled live entertainment experience for artists and audiences alike.
With a mission to create unique experiences through innovative AV and entertainment technological solutions, Solotech has collaborated closely with the VAI team to ensure the VAI Amphitheater sets the bar as a new and unique luxury venue. It was VAI’s trust in Solotech as an industry leader, executing challenging projects and sourcing the best products on the market, that led to this exciting partnership.
“Solotech is ensuring that the AV technology attracts both artists and travelers from across the globe,” explains Aaron Beck, Business Development Manager and Senior Engineer at Solotech. “Our drive for spectacular, and the VAI Resort team’s trust in us to execute, is what’s at the heart of our partnership.”
The Solotech team is working to ensure all systems meet the required specifications by engineering and detailing all systems, providing shop drawings, supplying top-of-the-line equipment, completing system installation, offering final system programming and commissioning, and providing ongoing support for the owner and technical teams.
“It’s a pleasure for our team to work on The VAI Amphitheater project from start to finish, the centerpiece of the resort,” says Aaron Beck. “Solotech is sourcing the latest in audio and lighting technology to make this a state-of-the-art facility while innovating to ensure our installations last in Arizona’s challenging weather conditions.”
The VAI Amphitheater’s uniqueness stems from its ability to provide an incredible viewing and listening experience to every seat in the venue, including the balconies of the VAI Resort Muse Tower.
The VAI Amphitheater’s particular challenges in audio system design and coverage for such a vast space are being overcome by deploying L-Acoustics K1, K2, KS-28, and K1-SB for the main audio system, along with L-Acoustics Kara II, X15 HIQ, and X12 for the stage monitor system. The AVB Audio Distribution with L-Acoustics P1 Processors ensures exceptional audio quality throughout the venue.
“L-Acoustics is renowned for bringing spectacular listening experiences to the world’s top live shows,” says B.J. Shaver, Director of Sales, Americas at L-Acoustics. “Our teams and those at Solotech collaborated to design a system that will offer an exceptional experience to audiences at VAI Amphitheater, placing it at the top of the list for touring artists.”
Solotech designed a flexible lighting system to meet the demands of the venue’s diverse programming and the challenges of the Arizona desert climate. The MA Lighting MA3 Full Size Lighting Console, combined with a range of Robe Lighting Fixtures including iSpiider, iPointe, iForte, Tetra2, Tarrantula, and PixelPATT, provides dynamic and visually stunning lighting experiences for every performance. The inclusion of the Robe BMFL FollowSpot LT for automated followspots enhances the visual impact further.
“Robe Lighting was thrilled to be a part of the new VAI Amphitheater with Solotech and VAI Resorts,” stated Craig Burross, Chief Sales Officer, Robe Lighting, Inc. “Understanding their commitment to only supply the highest level of technology to meet a wide range of performance needs, we are excited to see the amphitheater shine bright with Robe innovations.”
Solotech’s best-in-class Custom Fabrication supplies the Amphitheater’s cable, power, power distribution units, and hardware needs, guaranteeing a seamless and reliable infrastructure. Solotech’s dedication to innovation and quality ensures that the VAI Amphitheater will captivate audiences and provide artists with an exceptional stage for their performances.
“The VAI Amphitheater will be one of the most unique venues in the world, and with Solotech’s state-of-the-art lighting and audio equipment, performances will be unforgettable,” says Howard Weiss, Vice President of Entertainment for VAI Resort.
“This is the first venue where guests can enjoy performances at the amphitheater from their hotel balconies with the same audio quality you’d have by the stage,” Weiss continues. “The equipment provided onstage is equal to any of the greatest indoor venues in the world yet is being deployed outside. The experience for artists will be superb, and Solotech will be there in support with best-in-class technology for years to come.”
