The Palais Montcalm is located in the heart of downtown Quebec City in a historical building. The Salle Raoul-Jobin is one of the best concert halls in the world. In addition to concerts, it also hosts symposiums, conferences and other musical events.
With a seating capacity of 962, the hall represented a major acoustic challenge for Solotech: open stage, with no proscenium arch or permanent scenery. Furthermore, the canopy-style ceiling is mobile and can be adjusted based on the show. The audiovisual system therefore needed to be flexible. Solotech met the challenge in style by:
