A highly colorful pre-game show!

On October 29th, 2014 pro sports fans were treated to a high-intensity pre-game show for the opening of the NBA Toronto Raptors season, designed by 4U2C and Solotech. The two partner companies were retained by Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) to provide pre-game visual animation at the Air Canada Centre for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors games.

In both cases, the goal was to energize the crowd. For the Maple Leafs, the focus was placed on their logo, which symbolizes unity and diversity, and on their unique sporting world. For the Raptors, the objective was to present the players and showcase them with impressive 3D effects.

A challenge met with success

These events were the result of a close collaboration between Solotech’s and 4U2C’s technical and creative teams and MLSE. A partner to 4U2C on many major projects and with extensive expertise in video mapping, Solotech was brought on board to provide all the projection equipment for the events, including sophisticated software developed specifically for these applications.

We can definitely say that Solotech and 4U2C rose to the challenge! The shows, which last a few minutes and combine 3D effects, video mapping and edited footage, really ignited the crowds at the Maple Leafs and Raptors games.

Following these excellent results, we can expect that the Solotech/4U2C duo will bring its expertise to other arenas across North America in the near future!
