Electronics Manager - REDDITCH

Job Summary :

Solotech UK is the largest Pro Audio Sales, Installation and Live Production company in UK. As well as providing world class pro audio equipment to events within the UK and the world we also run our own in house manufacturing facility to build and supply Flightcase and Electronic equipment to support the wider industry including other Manufacturers. This year we have seen huge growth across our manufactured products and as a result a position is available now to join the Manufacturing Team at our Redditch Facility. As Electronics Manager your position will be an internal and external customer facing role, predominantly office based. In this role you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Electronics department/ business unit. Ensuring the routine management and the long terms business aims of the department are met. Managing an existing team of supervisors and production operatives, you will need good interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities :

  • Manufacturing Management

  • •Directs and coordinates activities of electronics department to design, manufacture, and test electronic components and products: Directs department activities, to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures
  • •Supplier Management and procurement
  • •Provide product costings and designs to both S&SI and LP as requested
  • •Build standard product portfolio and pricing to streamline potential sales activity
  • •Engage with Sales and Marketing departments to aide in content production required for the promotion and resale of Sigma Electronics Products

  • R & D Management

  • •Lead key projects with R&D to support business goals from initial product conception
  • •Work with Electronic Design Engineer to develop research programs to improve existing products and study the potential of new products
  • •Manage the production of required documentation to enable the Manufacturing Department to build products in a production environment
  • •Manage the Certification process to ensure products are CE and UKCA marked, and other meet other approvals as necessary per product
  • •Engage with both S&SI and LP teams to help develop ideas in relation to new product development
