Live Productions Microphone and RF Technician

Job Summary :

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Microphone and RF Technician works in the Park Royal warehouse, assisting with the preparation/dispatch of Mics & RF equipment and providing technical support. The role ensures prompt preparation of equipment hire packages prior to dispatch and timely checking-in and storage of returning equipment.

While a proven track record is an advantage, crucially we’re after people who are passionate about the live events industry. If you think you have what it takes to take SSE Audio to the next level, we would be delighted to hear from you.

The role requires flexible working practices, in a developing environment and may be required to assist, or cover for, other roles within the operation for which full training / support will be given.

Responsibilities :

• Assisting with the preparation, assembly and de-preparation of all RF, Mics and associated equipment.
• Ensure equipment is delivered within timelines and with appropriate packaging and documentation.
• Maintaining and enhancing the working relationship between the warehouse
• Responsible for immediately reporting to Warehouse Manager any anomalies, lost, stolen or damaged equipment.
• Ensure RF & Mic Preparation Area is maintained in a clean, organised and tidy condition.

Your profile :

• Knowledge and experience of the preparation and operation of RF equipment, or working in a similar role, would be advantageous.
• Industry interest, knowledge or experience would be preferable.
• Good administration skills and excellent telephone manner
• Willingness and ability to learn quickly
• Competent with the use of computers and ability to use databases.
• Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised, whilst recognising when to ask questions
• Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure – the role is pivotal to the smooth running of the department and dealing with customers
• Qualification: 5 GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent, including Maths & English
