Solotech acquires AiRAY system

New options for Live Productions clients

Montreal, June 5, 2019 – Solotech has confirmed the acquisition of a full arena-scale AiRAY system. Following an initial demonstration by the CODA Audio USA team, the system underwent rigorous and intensive ‘real-life’ testing by Solotech’s technical staff, first at Ottawa’s Canada Day celebrations and then at the three-day Osheaga Festival in Montreal. These trials proved very successful. CODA’s next generation technology delivers high-quality audio from very compact enclosures, which prompted the Solotech team on the ground to recommend this investment in AiRAY.

Solotech is continuously looking to diversify its global rental equipment pool to offer cutting-edge technology for multiple types of events and needs—adding the AiRAY definitely supports this strategy. Frankie Desjardins, VP R&D, Technological Solutions at Solotech comments: “The addition of a CODA Audio system presents a new option for our very diversified client base for live productions, music touring, corporate and special events. More compact than existing models, the AiRAY offers great performance, as we observed during our tests at last year’s Osheaga and Heavy Montreal Festivals.” The system will be used in Canada and the United States in the very near future.

David Brazeau, Director R&D, Technological Solutions at Solotech recognizes the tangible benefits that AiRAY brings: “The system is very compact and this reduction in size makes installation really easy in various types of venues. This offers an immediate advantage. Also, the AiRAY’s light weight and slick packaging ease up its deployment.”

“We anticipate the development of a fruitful partnership with CODA Audio, thanks to great collaboration and service,” says Daniel Mejean, VP Strategic Sourcing at Solotech. Luke Jenks, Managing Director of CODA Audio USA also expresses great satisfaction: “Solotech is a benchmark global audio specialist and we are excited and proud that its highly regarded team appreciates the advantages that our next generation technology brings to the market.”
