Race to World First is an annual World of Warcraft (WoW) tournament, which sees top guilds from around the world compete against each other to become the first group to complete each new expansion of the game. Waveform was hired to broadcast the ComplexityLimit Guild’s attempt at being ‘World First’ to complete the new end of game raid in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.
Waveform’s involvement far surpassed streaming the event. Waveform supplied and integrated a full suite of customized graphics, as well as a dedicated team of specialized staff on location for the duration of the ten-day event.
To make the complex event one that could be watched, understood, and enjoyed by hardcore and casual fans alike, Waveform’s talented technicians updated the on-screen graphics on-the-fly using machine-vision technology to provide the best watching experience possible for viewers.
The team was ready to take on this multi-day event, running for approximately 23 hours per day, for 8 straight days! Altogether, WoW Shadowlands Race To World First was a successful event with an average of 11,000 and a peak concurrent viewer count of approximately 38,000 watching the spectacle through Twitch.
We'd love to tell you more and collaborate with you!
