{"id":69696,"date":"2018-06-21T08:47:00","date_gmt":"2018-06-21T12:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/espace-osm-orchestre-symphonique-de-montreal\/"},"modified":"2022-10-25T10:53:19","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T14:53:19","slug":"espace-osm-orchestre-symphonique-de-montreal-2","status":"publish","type":"achievement","link":"https:\/\/www.solotech.com\/our-work\/espace-osm-orchestre-symphonique-de-montreal-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Espace OSM \u2013 Orchestre symphonique de Montr\u00e9al"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-heading wp-block\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An interactive space dedicated to the living heritage of the OSM<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph wp-block\">\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">For its 85th season, the Orchestre symphonique de Montr\u00e9al (OSM) made quite an impression by providing the public with a unique and original space dedicated to its history, the artists that have shaped it and the projects that have built its reputation since its founding in 1934.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-3 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block-paragraph wp-block\">\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Welcoming diverse events and temporary installations, Espace OSM opened its doors on January 31, 2019 at Place des Arts, right next to the Maison symphonique. A completely free venue, open to all, it allows the discovery of the OSM in a new light.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph wp-block\">\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Espace OSM is built around the vibrant heart of the Orchestra, offering visitors fascinating interactive experiences, as well as presenting digital and audiovisual artworks about classical music and the history of the OSM.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph wp-block\">\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">To bring to light its cultural contributions and the exceptional participation of its artists over the decades, the OSM relied upon Solotech\u2019s Sales and Systems Integration teams and services, another industry-leading Montreal business.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Inauguration de l&#039;Espace OSM\" width=\"625\" height=\"352\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ivy_XqDZjFo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-heading wp-block\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A concerto of audiovisual technologies<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph wp-block\">\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Trusted to deliver smart and interactive technologies, Solotech provided a series of state-of-the-art audiovisual and lighting equipment to make Espace OSM an unprecedented immersive experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph wp-block\">\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\"><em>\u201cThe installation includes Bose speakers and amplifiers,&nbsp;Genelec studio monitors, ELO digital signage touchscreens and Sennheiser headsets as well as architectural LED luminaires,\u201d<\/em> explains Mario Lessard, Project Manager at Solotech.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph wp-block\">\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">The OSM offers its audience a new sensorial experience: the virtual reality system, whose audio portion is supported by Solotech, propels the visitors onto the main stage of the Orchestra. Espace OSM has notably created&nbsp;<em>Innere Musik<\/em>, an immersive portrait of the Grand Orgue Pierre-B\u00e9ique, bringing the spectator inside and moving through the 6,489pipes and console of the organ along with the audio of Johann Sebastian Bach\u2019s Fantasia and Fugue in G Minor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-paragraph wp-block\">\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Nathalie B\u00e9dard-Morin, Digital Strategy Chief at the OSM, is very satisfied with the results of the audiovisual installation: <em>\u201cAs the person responsible for the digital quality of this project, it was essential that the audiovisual equipment make the work of those who shape the Orchestra daily shine, while providing the public with a new, unforgettable experience.
